In our latest brief, we have been tasked with producing a radio drama which will potentially be played over the summer either on Brayford Radio or Siren FM. To do this, we can either produce our own original script or use one of the scripts written by previous script writing students. Our task roles are as follows:

Adam South – Producer
Anthony Bird – Producer
Elliot Wright – BA/Script
As a group we have decided to produce our own original script which will be written over Christmas and begin development upon our return. The story will be set in the First World War and tells the story of a man being conscripted into service during the Battle of the Somme. He meets someone from a less privileged background who can’t read or write and helps him respond to his anxious mother back home. Development on this story will begin ASAP. To get the ball rolling, we’ve began to collect research and have watched/listened to a number of radio and tv dramas set in the time period. Time to crack out the Blackadder box set.
